What’s neXT?!: A Global Conversation with Transitioners of their Lived Experiences

What’s neXT?! hosted a series of engaging and inspiring conversations with 100+ Transitioners from four regions.

Overview

What’s neXT?! hosted a series of engaging and inspiring conversations with 100+ Transitioners from the Americas, UK, Europe, Asia, Australia and Africa, who shared their later life transition experiences.

Rick Wolfe, master moderator and Senior Advisor at What’s neXT?!, set the stage as the passionate participants led a self-directed conversation and shared over two hours of stories, insights, and discussion. Several key themes emerged, including how as Transitioners, we seem to focus more on our experience, which is time-related, vs our expertise, which is a more powerful asset. Also, we seem to not give ourselves the space, time and permission for self-discovery and often try to replicate structures and networks from our pre-transition days, which often fail!

It’s clear people are anxious to hear how “others did it” and to validate their own approaches to experimentation, learning, and personal resets through the stories they tell. Despite cultural or geographic differences, the challenges people face in transition seem remarkably common, and there is great value in establishing a forum to share experiences.

Thank you, Lynda Smith, Noam Tamir, Nick Viner, Helen Hughes, Michael Netzley, Keith Wright, and Sanne Mueller for your support in reaching out and engaging your communities with these conversations.

These videos highlight conversations among Transitioners in four different regions – the Americas + UK, Asia + Australia, Europe + Africa, and Japan.
