On March 25, 2026, What’s neXT50 welcomed Professor Nicola Palmarini, Director of the UK’s National Innovation Centre for Ageing, to explore the emerging concept of the City of Longevity, a bold framework reimagining how urban environments shape wellbeing, behaviour and connection across the life course. Moving beyond traditional “age-friendly” thinking, Nic’s work challenges cities to become proactive partners in longevity, drawing on global innovation projects, behavioural insight, citizen co-design, and connected technologies to create environments where healthier, more purposeful lives can thrive.
